What’s openOSPF? Is that like OSPF on Cisco routers? I looked up ifstated and it said something about “conditional scripting” – what’s that? Failover? Dude, you gotta get these projects up for me! Come on! Are those for Linux?? I run Ubuntu – will that work?!~

That’s a good XBMC write-up – do you know why the t3ch updater bombs? I got it working and it looks great. I’m trying to get a samba server setup now so I can stream files – you should do a samba project. Thanks, though.

Hey, I found your site when I was looking for stuff on Postfix but now I’d like to know about DUMMYNET. Can it do CDRs and stuff or is it just like altq?
Also what CFM is your PSP running? Have you used any of the 4.x stuff? Let me know if you did and if it was better than 3.90-m33.

OpenOSPF is an open-source implementation of the OSPF routing protocal and it’s very easy to configure. I’ll do a project page for it soon, promise. Ifstated is a daemon process that can be configured to allow you to use failover capabilities if and when one of your OpenOSPF routers dies. It basically runs until a condition is met and then it triggers some action you define. It’s great. I don’t know that there are Linux alternatives. You may want to look into heartbeat?
